Bowling Memories begins with a private collection of historic bowling balls, each representing a different chapter in the development of the sport. The museum is being organized so visitors can explore individual objects, their materials, and the stories behind them.
Over time, the site can expand to include pinsetters, lane conditioning, scoring technology, machinery, and software tools. The museum's physical collection is being prepared for display at Memory Lanes in Sedalia, Missouri.
The first bowling ball descriptions were drawn from an existing collection document. Historical claims are being treated as working research until verified and supported with additional sources.
